**We are also looking into inviting a few speakers to talk about their work and experience in STEM! Let us know if you have anyone in mind!

What is the optional coding time?

The optional coding time is an opportunity for the campers to spend more time coding throughout the day (beyond our 2-hr Zoom meetings) if they would like to! At the end of our camp day (12pm ET), our instructors will give the campers a COMPLETELY OPTIONAL coding puzzle related to that day's lesson that they can try on their own. From 2-3pm ET, campers are welcome to join the instructors on Zoom to seek help with the puzzle or to just spend more time coding and hanging out! Think of this as the "office hours" for the camp, but without the stingy title :)

Please note that the campers will be able to have a complete understanding of our curriculum within the camp hours as they will be given time to practice a new concept during the lesson. The optional puzzle will merely supplement our coding lessons. So, if you won't always be able to try the optional puzzle, don't fret!
