On May 2nd, 2015, GLIST ran a stand at the Philadelphia Science Festival. It was open from 10 am to 4 pm, and more than 230 people, from ages 5 to 75 visited our stand. At our stand, we had 5 computers set up, each with Python on it. We had pre-designed several different activities, within 3 different skill level groups. The looks on people's faces were extremely rewarding when they saw the python "turtle" draw a square for the first time. The smiles grew as they learned to color images, or make different shapes. At the end of their visit, guests were given a GLIST button, and a free raffle ticket for a Raspberry Pi. People loved the stand, and some even suggested that GLIST should become a nation-wide movement.
